Little People Watching Me

Hey All!

Ok so today I had to pull my self out of bed and make it to work. I meet with my teaching partner(the other 4th grade teacher) and we talked a little about the basics of the classes. It was nice to get some insight and I have a feeling I will be talking to her a lot over the next few weeks. Also today the school had the used uniform sale. This ment of course that children would be hanging around. Since my room is off the beaten path I was able to avoid most of it but there were a few that had to investigate the new male in the building. The first group sounded like boys and although my door was shut I could hear them talking in the hall. "He's in there! I can see him in there!" One of the older ones did finally open the door and introduced himself quick before running off. It turns out I will have his brother in my class. Then came a group a girls. O boy I think we can all guess where this is going. They knocked and so I went over and introduced myself. There was 2 4th grade girls and 3 7th grade girls. They talked to me for a while and told me about how they are in choir and band and about thier families. It was pretty crazy and of course the whole time they had huge smiles on thier faces. I felt a little weird that I was wearing a Loras t-shirt and camo shorts but o well. The moms ended up coming back too to check out the new meat and they seemed nice. Not sure what was going through thier minds but hopefuly nothing bad. I spent the afternoon taking a well needed nap (tonight I go to bed early) and then I worked on making student files. The room is coming along and I will post the pictures after I load them tonight. I have a bunch of little things left to get in the room like a calender and stuff so I feel good about the room but I still have lots of work to do as far as lessons. Tommorrow the princepal comes back from vacation so hopefuly he is plesently suprised at my progress. Thank you for all the comments you have left they make me smile!
